About the Farms:

Pont Reading Farm is leading a new collaboration of growers in the greater Triangle region, centered around a cluster of farms near Saxapahaw, who are joining acres together to provide you with the highest quality produce and value added products. Growers Josh Humphreys, Liana Stachowicz, Eric and Lisa Henry, Maddie and Jake Fudge, Charles Sydnor and Zac Davison have come together with a common vision - of not just growing quality food but also regenerating soils and landscapes and building community while we're at it.

After selling for many years through the Saxapahaw General Store, we have now developed a new collaboration with American Underground to host our first weekly drop point in downtown Durham, each Thursday from 3 to 5pm at 201 W. Main Street. Please place your orders online here before midnight Wednesday night, and we will deliver from the First Floor Kitchen at "AU@Main" on Thursday afternoon.

You also have the option of picking up directly from Pont Reading Farm on Friday mornings, 10am to Noon -- a choice you can specify at the top of your shopping basket's page.

At our farms -- which include Pont Reading, the Henry Farm, Eat Dirt FarmMachaven Farm, Dinner Bell Farm, and Braeburn Farm -- we believe that healthy soils produce delicious, nutritionally dense, healthy food. To build soil health, we follow no-till, regenerative, organic principles. We use cover crops between plantings, rotate livestock through growing areas, and diversify the crops we are growing -- and our farms are situated in woodland settings, creating vibrant "agroforestry" landscapes teeming with pollinators and biodiversity. We also grow all year round, including through the winter, using techniques of season extension. This means that the food you are buying is fresh, local, and of the highest quality, something we are very proud of!

This collaboration is growing, so we'll be regularly adding other farms and products from around the region and occasionally from thoughtful farms from down east and western NC, including other pasture-raised and organic meat, raw honey, culinary herbs, nuts, and more varieties of fruits and vegetables, depending on the season -- as well as plants and trees from our licensed nursery that focuses on native species. We hope you will join us on this journey! And we welcome your feedback as this collaboration advances. Write us at farm@pontreading.com.
